Scott Robison’s Bio-identical HRT Clinic

Our HRT clinic began seeing patients in August of 2002 and since that time we have seen over 100 patients with a majority of those being female. These women came to us initially by word of mouth advertising from one of their friends or by physician referral. We now have reached a point where we get a number of referrals from the ob/gyn community.

We feel that a great deal of our success is in the time that we take with each patient in following a four-step approach.

First, during an initial consultation we take a detailed medical history of the patient including current symptoms, past medical procedures, dates of any births or miscarriages, and a list of current and past medications and hormone therapies including naturals and food supplements. Each patient is also extensively educated on the roles each hormone plays in the body and what symptoms may occur if the hormones are out of normal range.

Second, the patient performs a saliva hormone test that generally includes estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA and cortisol. This is done with a simple test that they can perform at home and mail to the laboratory.

Third, upon receiving the test results we then schedule a follow-up consultation where we discuss the test results with the patient. The test results are compared with the patient’s symptoms and we discuss all treatment options and decide on a course of treatment that the patient feels most comfortable with.

Finally, we supply the patient’s physician with a detailed letter describing the patient’s symptoms and test results. We will make a treatment recommendation that the physician can approve or change. We then supply the compounded or pre-manufactured hormone therapies.

We continue to follow the patient’s progress and response to treatment.
